Tenuta Luce
The Tenuta Luce winery was founded in 1995 from the dream and determination of two wine visionaries: Marchese Vittorio Frescobaldi from Florence and Robert Mondavi from California. By combining their passion and culture, they wanted to create an exceptional, distinctive wine in the heart of Montalcino. Their sons, Lamberto and Tim, then young oenologists, finally realized their vision by blending Sangiovese and Merlot, thus creating the first wine in Montalcino made from this combination. The unique Luce sun label is inspired by the high altar of the Basilica of Santo Spirito in Florence.
Description
The 2020 Luce presents itself in an intense ruby-red color. On the nose, it is characterized by its complexity and elegance, marked by ripe black fruits, especially blackberries and mulberries. These are complemented by notes of cocoa and sweet spices. On the palate, it reveals itself as harmonious, vibrant, and exceptionally structured, balanced by lively acidity and soft, silky tannins that give it an elegant and lingering finish.
Recommendation
Decanted at 17 degrees, a perfect accompaniment to game dishes, dishes with truffles, pot roasts and spicy cheeses.
