Taste and appearance

In the glass, the Remelluri Reserva impresses with a deep ruby-red color. The nose offers aromas of exotic spices and tobacco, with hints of orange peel and cherries. On the palate, flavors of ripe dark cherries, salt, chocolate, and wonderfully ripe tannins unfold. Overall, a perfect picture: charming and extremely elegant.

Serving suggestion

This Remelluri Reserva goes well with dark and braised meats or with mature cheeses.

grape variety

The Remelluri is made from Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Viura, and Malvasia grapes. The 2009 Remelluri Reserva is one of the few red wines that still incorporates white grape varieties, in this case Viura and Malvasia, according to old northern Spanish traditions. This blend results in a special freshness and more complex finesse. These white grapes are complemented by the red Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano, all sourced from the estate's own vineyards, exclusively from organically cultivated vineyards with very limited yields and spontaneous fermentation. Aging takes place in oak barrels, carefully selected from the best available. This process creates a wonderful complexity, characterized by velvety and exceptionally elegant tannins. Fine and silky, full-bodied and multifaceted.
