Cà dei Frati

Since 1939
Once upon a time…
The Ca' dei Frati winery has been known since 1782, as evidenced by a document that "reports on a house with a cellar in Lugana, which in Sirmione is called the place of the monks." In 1939, Felice Dal Cero, the son of Domenico, a winemaker in Montecchia di Crosara in Verona, moved into this house in Lugana di Sirmione and understood from the outset the area's vocation for winemaking. After thirty years working in the vineyard and cellar, his son Pietro participated in the creation of the DOC and began bottling his first Lugana Casa dei Frati label, later Ca' dei Frati. In 2012, Pietro Dal Cero passed away, leaving the cultural legacy to his wife Santa Rosa and their children Igino, Gian Franco, and Anna Maria, who continued to run the business with the same passion and determination.
