In the glass, the Gazur displays a dark ruby red color. The nose offers aromas of chocolate and ripe cherries. On the palate, it reveals notes of wild berries and a hint of mint. The tannins are wonderfully balanced. Overall, the Gazur is intensely fruity yet harmonious, full-bodied yet smooth. This red wine pairs perfectly with vegetables or young cheeses.
The Gazur is made entirely from the Tinta del País grape. With this wine, star winemaker Telmo Rodríguez has achieved the perfect entry into the Ribera del Duero wine region. The full-bodied, intoxicatingly fruity Tinta del País grape from Ribera del Duero, a regional variant of Tempranillo, reveals itself here as a youthful, fruit-forward wine, full and smooth, a wonderful interplay of intense fruit flavors. The wine also impresses with its freshness and terroir-driven finesse.
Gazur comes from Ribera del Duero, a wine-growing region in the Castile and León region of Spain, through which the Río Duero flows.
