Origin:
The Muga Reserva 2021 comes from the renowned Bodega Muga in the Rioja region, known for its long-standing winemaking tradition. This cuvée combines mainly Tempranillo with smaller proportions of Garnacha , Mazuelo , and Graciano , all hand-picked and carefully processed.
Maturation:
The wine matured for 24 months in handcrafted oak barrels – 80% French and 20% American oak – and was then refined in the bottle for at least 12 months.
Tasting notes:
A vibrant ruby red with an elegant garnet rim, exhibiting a medium depth.
Aroma:
The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe forest fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, accompanied by fine spice notes and a hint of toasted oak and vanilla.
Taste:
On the palate, the wine is balanced and elegant . The lively acidity and velvety tannins harmonize perfectly. The finish is fruit-forward, lingering, and characterized by a subtle spiciness.
