Founded in 1981, the Ornellaia winery is synonymous with top-quality Tuscan wines. The 2020 vintage in Bolgheri was characterized by changeable weather conditions. After a mild and rainy winter, a temporary drop in temperature occurred in March, followed by a warm spring. The summer was mixed, with periods of heat and rain, requiring careful vineyard management. These conditions resulted in grapes with outstanding aromatic purity and balanced structure.
Expansion
The wine matured for 18 months in French barriques (70% new, 30% second use) and for a further 12 months in the bottle before being released to the market.
Color: Intense ruby red with violet reflections.
Bouquet: On the nose, aromas of ripe berries unfold, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla and sweet tobacco.
