The Pingus PSI 2019 is a remarkable red wine from the renowned Ribera del Duero wine region in Spain, produced by Dominio de Pingus , a winery managed by Danish oenologist Peter Sisseck .
This vintage presents itself in an intense ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose, it unfolds fresh notes of bitter orange and ripe plum , complemented by floral nuances of lilac blossoms and subtle spicy hints of unsweetened cocoa powder .
On the palate, the wine impresses with its vibrant freshness and a well-balanced harmony between ripe tannins and pleasant acidity . Aromas of red fruits such as cherries and currants harmonize perfectly with the floral and spicy notes. The finish is long and lingering .
The Pingus PSI 2019 is produced from a selection of 630 plots with old vines at altitudes between 850 and 950 meters on clay and limestone soils in Ribera del Duero.
This wine is excellent with grilled meats , game dishes and mature cheeses .
