The La Braccesca 2019 Nobile di Montepulciano is an elegant red wine from the renowned DOCG Nobile di Montepulciano in Tuscany, produced by Bodega La Braccesca , which belongs to the Antinori winery. This wine embodies the tradition and terroir of the Montepulciano region and presents itself as a harmonious and complex expression of the typical Sangiovese grape.
Grape varieties : Mainly Prugnolo Gentile (the local clonal variant of Sangiovese), supplemented by smaller amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon .
Origin : The grapes come from vineyards in the Montepulciano region, where the climate, with its warm summers and cool nights, offers ideal conditions for growing Prugnolo Gentile. The soils are mostly calcareous and offer good drainage, resulting in wines with structure and complexity.
Vinification : The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully selected, and prepared for fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels (French and American oak), which gives it additional depth and complexity.
Aromas : Complex aromas of red fruits such as cherries, plums and berries, accompanied by spicy notes of tobacco, vanilla, pepper and a light wood note from oak barrel aging.
Taste : Medium-bodied to full-bodied, with soft, well-integrated tannins and a fresh, lively acidity. The wine offers a balanced and elegant finish that harmoniously combines the fruit and oak notes.
Ideal with Tuscan dishes such as Bistecca alla Fiorentina , lamb, game, pasta with rich sauces, or aged cheeses. Also an excellent choice for hearty stews or mushroom dishes.
