The Mauro VS 2021 Vendimia Seleccionada is an exceptional red wine from the Castilla y León region of Spain, produced by Bodegas Mauro under the direction of renowned winemaker Mariano García . It is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes sourced from the estate's oldest and finest vineyards. The grapes are carefully selected to guarantee the highest quality.
After harvesting, the wine matured for 26 months in French oak barrels and was bottled in January 2024. In the glass, it displays a deep purplish-red color with violet reflections . Its bouquet is intense and complex, with aromas of ripe red and black berries such as blackberry and currant. This aromatic profile is complemented by delicate spice notes like cinnamon and cloves, as well as hints of dark chocolate, tobacco, and caramel .
On the palate, the Mauro VS 2021 presents itself powerfully, with intense fruitiness, lively acidity, and pronounced tannins that support a long finish. Its structure and depth give it great aging potential.
