The Branco de Santa Cruz 2021 is an elegant and characterful white wine from the Galician region of Valdeorras, produced by the renowned Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez . It comes from organically cultivated vineyards in the town of Santa Cruz, located at altitudes between 400 and 600 meters and growing on acidic, coarse-grained granite soils with low fertility.

Grape varieties

The wine is made from a blend of Godello , Treixadura , Doña Blanca and Palomino Fino .

Expansion

Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, and the wine then matures for 10 months in barrels and foudres of varying capacities. A total of 6,132 bottles were filled in July 2023.

Tasting notes

Aroma : On the nose, the wine displays aromas of white flowers , pollen , apple , pear , citrus fruits , minerals and a hint of vanilla .

Palate : On the palate, it presents itself as dry , with a discreet clarity and a grainy mouthfeel that complements the fruit and citrus aromas . The finish is short but elegant .
