Bodegas Torreduero, SA was born from the firm commitment that a winery with over 100 years of experience in Rioja and a recognized prestige like Bodegas Riojanas, SA makes to the wines of the Toro Designation of Origin. This commitment is based on the already recognized characteristics of these wines: exceptional color, robust body, etc., which offer great present and enormous future potential. This is primarily due to the indigenous grape variety "Tinta de Toro" (a Tempranillo-related variety that has resisted the phylloxera plague and therefore does not require American rootstock grafting for planting) and also to the unbeatable climatic and geological conditions of the region.

Its thousand-year history has been documented since Roman times, reaching its zenith in the Late Middle Ages and Renaissance (12th-16th centuries). The excellence of its wines also boasts a long and well-documented tradition, having been among the favorites of the Madrid court during the Habsburg era (16th-17th centuries), a reputation that continues to this day. Bodegas Torreduero, SA aims to combine the ancient Torresan winemaking tradition with the most modern oenological techniques to produce wines of exceptional quality, offering innovation while retaining the characteristics that have given it its unique character and style.
